Child's Kamik, Lagoon Site

Nik by Casydie Kudlak

The following story was inspired by a 2500 year old child's kamik from the Lagoon Site, Banks Island. The kamik is now housed at the PWNHC.

Nik was a nice camera, he had many friends. He took nice pictures and he loved his owner Laura. One day, he saw something that he wanted to take a picture of but Laura wouldn’t take it, she was too busy. So he just waited, he asked Laura if he could now and she said, “ok, where is it?” He pulled her to the lab and showed the kamik to Laura. She smiled then said, “well, let’s take a picture.” He took five photos. He was happy Laura wasn’t busy. He was happy again.

The End.
